What we collect when you contact us
The contact and project intake forms collect the details you enter: your name, company name, email address, and optionally a phone number, together with the project information you choose to describe — such as the datacenter location, project type, rack or device counts, and your preferred execution window.
Alongside the submission we record how you arrived at the site: campaign parameters from the link you followed (utm_source and related values), the referring website, and the first page you landed on. This tells us which channels produce project enquiries. It contains no information about you personally.
Why we may process it, and on what basis
We use your submission to answer your enquiry, clarify scope, and where relevant produce a quote. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you initiated, and where a project follows, the performance of a contract.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to send marketing you did not ask for.
Where it goes
A form submission is delivered by email to us, and a confirmation is sent to the address you provided. The message is handled by our email provider in the course of delivery.
Where a customer relationship management system is connected, the same submission is forwarded to it so the enquiry can be followed up. No other third party receives it.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no analytics cookies unless you accept them. If you do, Google Analytics 4 is loaded and sets first-party cookies to recognise repeat visits and measure which pages lead to enquiries. IP addresses are anonymised, and we do not send your name, email address, or the text of your enquiry to Google.
If you decline, the analytics script is never loaded. Your choice is stored in your browser so you are not asked repeatedly, and you can change it by clearing your browser storage for this site.
The attribution details described above are held in your browser’s session storage and are cleared when you close the tab. They reach us only if you submit a form.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are kept only as long as they remain commercially relevant, and are removed once they are not. Where a project goes ahead, the correspondence is retained for as long as the statutory administration and liability periods require.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Write to info@amsterdamsmarthands.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are validated and rate-limited on the server, and access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to respond to you.
